jokes aside,behind the amazing elves I saw a girl with an oni mask. Considering that the last anime I watched was a really old 4 episode OVA called Shuten Doji,maybe you could work on the oni concept The first idea is set up the scene in a temple, most likely in a ritual ceremony. The perspective looks like it points more on the floor. By that way,adding elements like a ritual circle,candles or anything you can find in such places would lighten up the place.

The second idea which just came out to me is use the enviroment to create a mirror behind a girl which reflects a different world, a world of demons that are trying to drag the girl into their universe.

I hope all these gibberish help you somehow.

PS. Shingeki no Kyojin is really an amazing manga. Have started reading it a couple of months ago. I only hope everything gets better in my life so I can get myself a tablet and read manga anywhere I like.Maybe some magic happens on my birthday(?)

Anyway as always, your comments are a pleasure to read. I have to give you an extra special pair of thanks, too, since I say with 0 exaggeration that your vectors serve as a constant inspiration. I always try to plagiari- I mean borrow ideas from your vectoring style. Gradients everywhere and overlapping shapes. I still suck at using PS for vectors so I did everything in AI and cheated using blending modes.

You know, Faves would actually mean a lot more if they were applied to wallpapers where I actually give descent amount of work and care on... I guess popular scan and pretty girls...?

It was the first time I ever re-cg'd anything. In my stupidity, I never consulted any guides like the one you spoke of, just asked a few friends who painted digitally and asked for some pointers from isshi. I basically winged it and went with gut instinct. I do have plenty of experience painting traditionally so reconstructing the torn area wasn't as much of a problem for me as I'd originally thought.

The petals were isshi's idea, though the blur wasn't. I admit this is one area where my amateurishness shows. I never intended to submit this wall but Blackrock and Isshi encouraged me to upload.

Thanks for the comment. Maybe ALPHONSE was on a tight deadline and went "BLAH, IT'S FINISHED NOW!" and submitted it as is. As for the wallpaper itself... Yay for lack of effort but ppl think it's shiny anyway, thus making me angry that I bother trying on some other ignored works...! /small voice

The truth is I had tried creating an image timeline but I had too much crap to go through, so this was easier/lazier. :P

Definitely want to hear/see yours soon! Perhaps I will make a fully extended one in the future, preferably one not recorded at 2am in the morning. XD
